This California Consumer Privacy Notice supplements the general Privacy Policy of Balch & Bingham LLP (“Balch” or “we” or “us”), and provides notices, disclosures and descriptions of rights under: (a) the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”); (b) California’s “Shine the Light” law; and (c) the California Online Privacy Protection Act.
This CCPA portion of the California Privacy statement applies solely to California consumers (“you”) and addresses personal information we collect online and offline. This Statement does not apply to Balch personnel or information collected about B2B personnel. Further, sections 2 and 3 of this privacy notice do not apply to job applicants.
Any terms in this statement undefined in this CCPA Privacy Statement or our General Privacy Policy have the meanings given to them in the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 and its implementing regulations, as they may be amended from time to time (the “CCPA”).

Access: You have the right to request, twice in a 12-month period, that we disclose to you the personal information we have collected, used, disclosed, and sold about you during the past 12 months.
Deletion: You have the right to request that we delete certain personal information we have collected from you.

Verifying Requests
To help protect your privacy and maintain security, we will take steps to verify your identity before granting you access to your personal information or complying with your request. If you request access to or deletion of your personal information, we may require you to provide certain information, including: (a) name, (b) postal address, (c) email address and (d) telephone number. In addition, if you ask us to provide you with specific pieces of personal information, we will require you to sign a declaration under penalty or perjury that you are the consumer whose personal information is the subject of the request.
Using an Authorized Agent
If you designate an authorized agent to make an access or deletion request on your behalf: (a) we may require you to provide the authorized agent written permission to do so, and (b) for access and deletion request, we may require you to verity your own identity directly with us.
Additional Information
If you choose to exercise any of your rights under the CCPA, you have the right to not receive discriminatory treatment by us. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may charge a reasonable fee to comply with your request. This Statement is available in alternative formats upon request. Separate from the CCPA, California’s “Shine the Light” law gives California residents the right to ask companies what personal information they share with third parties for those third parties’ direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose your personal information to third parties for the purpose of directly marketing their goods or services to you unless you request such disclosure. CalOPPA requires any person or company in the United States that operates websites collecting personally identifiable information from California consumers to post a conspicuous privacy policy on its website stating exactly the information being collected and those individuals or companies with whom it is being shared.
