Dan Ruth to Discuss Impact of Opportunity Zones on Birmingham Business Journal Panel

Dan Ruth, attorney in the firm’s Birmingham office and member of the Corporate Practice, will serve as a panelist for the Birmingham Business Journal’s Opportunity Zones program on January 17, 2019. Dan, along with panelists from the City of Birmingham and Opportunity Alabama, will discuss how Alabama and the city of Birmingham are approaching Opportunity Zones, what businesses and investors need to know about the program, and the latest on the evolving rules and regulations for Opportunity Zones.

Opportunity Zones are a new piece of the Internal Revenue Code that offers incentives to parties who invest, or operate businesses in historically low-income areas.
