Kelly Pate, chair of Balch’s Diversity Committee and member of the Litigation Practice, has been named to the Federal Bar Association’s Diversity and Inclusion Task Force for 2019-2020. In this role, Kelly will work with other members of the Task Force to improve inclusion efforts within the Federal Bar Association, as well as the federal legal profession. The Task Force will develop a strategic plan that outlines future goals and initiatives to cultivate a diverse and inclusive environment for all aspects of legal community.
Kelly’s practice includes representing clients in a variety of business and employment matters. She works with clients to develop policies, provide training, manage EEOC related matters, and counsel on diversity and inclusion initiatives. She works with businesses and higher education institutions through internal complaint, investigation, and grievance processes. Kelly regularly represents clients in the federal courts in Alabama, most often in the Middle District, and her practice also requires appearances for clients in Alabama's circuit courts.
As chair of Balch’s Diversity Committee, Kelly is committed to maintaining a diverse and inclusive workplace for all. She understands that achieving greater diversity is essential to delivering excellent service to our clients.
