Tom DeLawrence and Chad Pilcher, both partners in the firm’s Birmingham office were recently named to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s annual MS Leaders Challenge. The MS Leaders Challenge is a fundraising competition among both aspiring and seasoned leaders to raise funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
The National MS Society (NMSS) was founded 75 years ago to help those affected by this life-altering disease. Through research funding, centralizing info, providing resources or helping people live well with MS, NMSS strives to see a world free of MS. Today, nearly 1 million people in the U.S. are living with MS.
Tom, a member of the Balch Environmental & Natural Resources Practice, focuses on national and state level environmental law issues—particularly administrative, legislative, enforcement/litigation, and compliance matters under the Clean Water Act (CWA), Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). Tom was recently ranked in Chambers USA 2021 as a leading attorney.
Chad works on a wide array of political law and government relations matters, and is one the state's leading sources on ethics and campaign finance law issues.
