Jonathan Hoffmann, a partner in the firm’s Birmingham office and a member of the consumer finance litigation practice will present on Regulation F Updates as part of a four-person panel on Wednesday, August 5, 2021 at 1 p.m. EST.
Once the CFPB’s October 2020 changes to Regulation F go into effect this November, collectors and accounts receivable industry members can start emailing and texting consumers. The right to communicate with consumers, however, is balanced by the consumers’ ability to opt out of such communications.
In this webinar, Jonathan will join a panel of other industry experts to share their insights into how companies will need to track consent once these changes to Regulation F go into effect.
Jonathan Hoffmann focuses on consumer and financial services litigation, handling hundreds of individual and class action lawsuits under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). He also advises clients on compliance with these statutes and their regulations, as well as Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices (UDAAP), with particular focus on UDAAP issues arising from the use and promotion of fintech initiatives of banking institutions.
