Ashley Eley Cannady Appointed to Mississippi Commission for Volunteer Service Board of Commissioners

Ashley Eley Cannady, partner in the firm’s Jackson office and member of the Labor & Employment Practice, was appointed to the Mississippi Commission for Volunteer Service (MCVS) Board of Commissioners. MCVS seeks to engage and support Mississippians of all ages and backgrounds in service to their communities. Ashley was appointed by Governor Tate Reeves to serve a three-year term on the board. Through this role, Ashley will support MCVS and Volunteer Mississippi in its state-wide efforts to foster community engagement and build volunteer capacity. 

Ashley Cannady focuses on labor and employment litigation, providing advice to employers on all areas of work-related legal exposure, and business litigation. With a proactive approach, she helps her clients remain compliant with applicable laws. Ashley’s client roster crosses many sectors, including financial services, hospitals, telecommunications, construction companies, poultry plants, restaurants, hotels, and casinos. She takes the time to get to know and understand the unique challenges her clients face in order to fully appreciate how labor laws may affect them.
