Russell Dumas, attorney in the firm’s Jackson office and a member of the Labor & Employment Practice, has been appointed to the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association (MDLA) Board of Directors, and will serve a three-year term as the District 2 (Central Mississippi) Director.
Russell advises and advocates for employers and businesses in a wide-range of employment issues. He uses his practical skills and extensive experience to help guide his clients through each unique matter. Russell was named to The Best Lawyers in America® in the 2022 edition and received the Jackson Young Lawyers Association’s Outstanding Service Award in 2021.
Founded in 1965, the MDLA includes over 450 current and active practicing attorney members located in Mississippi and the surrounding region, primarily litigating in courtrooms throughout the state. The association provides opportunities for diverse, young attorneys to hone their leadership skills while continuing their legal education and providing opportunities to network with colleagues.
