Solving Unique Challenges Since 1922 - Celebrating 100 Years
This year, we have reached a rare and wonderful milestone our 100th anniversary. It’s an anniversary that merits celebration and provides a unique opportunity for us to reflect on where we have been as we look ahead to our future. For 100 years, Balch & Bingham has been there for major milestones, and the quiet moments, that have shaped Alabama, the Southeast and the United States. We have successfully navigated legal challenges that changed the future of energy, finance, construction and so many other industries, economies and practice areas. We’ve partnered with our clients on everything from small contracts to U.S. Supreme Court cases. And we’ve learned.
From modest beginnings and the vision of Judge William Logan Martin, Jr. in 1922, the firm grew to become what it is today: a nationally-recognized law firm with more than 200 lawyers in offices across five states and Washington D.C., boasting a globally-ranked nuclear energy practice, numerous market-leading practices and a steadfast commitment to serving its clients, its people, communities and the legal profession.
While we will reflect on our past 100 years of service, we look to our collective. A future where talented lawyers and professionals continue to have an opportunity to build meaningful careers, a future where we continue to grow alongside our clients and communities, and most importantly a future that is more diverse, equitable and inclusive.
Over our next 100 years, our goal is to have an even bigger positive impact on the world than in our previous century.
