Alina Fernandez Named to Board of Governors for the Jacksonville Bar Association Young Lawyers Section

Alina Fernandez, attorney in the firm’s Jacksonville office and member of the Litigation Practice, has been named to the Jacksonville Bar Association Young Lawyers Section (JBA/YLS) Board of Governors. She will serve as an Ex Officio Member for the 2024-2025 year. 

The new position follows Alina’s appointment to the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division (YLD) 4th Circuit Board of Governors, which began June 21, 2024.

Alina has been involved in the Jacksonville Bar Association Young Lawyers Section for 5 years. During this time, she has made significant contributions, including chairing the holiday project committee. This role involved coordinating a partnership between the Jacksonville Bar Association, Aging True, and Meals on Wheels to spread some holiday cheer to senior citizens in Duval County, Florida.

The JBA/YLS is comprised of young lawyers in the area who are 35 years old or younger or have been practicing law less than five years. The organization is committed to providing a wide range of programs and projects designed to benefit young lawyers, members of the bar, and the Northeast Florida community. The group frequently undertakes projects under the mandates of the Jacksonville Bar Association and The Florida Bar, and volunteers for numerous charitable organizations.
