Ashley Eley Cannady Elected a Fellow In The College Of Labor and Employment Law
Ashley Eley Cannady, attorney in the firm’s Jackson office and member of the Labor & Employment Practice, was elected a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Law, which comprises the leading lawyers in the United States and Canada in the practice of Labor and Employment Law. Ashley is one of the youngest members ever elected as a Fellow of the College.
The College, which only accepts attorneys who have been referred and vetted, requires that attorneys have at least twenty years of experience and demonstrate the highest professional qualifications, ethics, leadership, and professional service.
Ashley was formally inducted as a Fellow of the College at its Annual Induction Dinner Meeting in New York City on November 16, 2024.
Ashley focuses on labor and employment law and related litigation and providing advice to employers in all areas of work-related legal exposure to minimize risk. With a proactive approach, she helps her clients remain compliant with applicable laws by providing timely advice and conducting investigations and audits. Ashley’s client roster crosses many sectors, including energy; financial services, including credit unions; hospitals and healthcare providers; telecommunication, fiber and cloud service providers; construction and design/build contractors; gaming and hospitality; and public employers/government agencies. She takes the time to get to know and understand the unique challenges her clients face in order to fully appreciate how labor and employment laws may affect them.
