What type of matters do you work on most often?

I work on a variety of general litigation matters for our clients in state and federal court, most of which involves defense work.
What previous experiences, prior to your work at Balch, influence your practice?

My experience as a law clerk on the Eleventh Circuit gave me invaluable insight into how judges decide cases both in the trial court and at the appellate level. Additionally, my previous experience has given me the chance to see how a case develops from every perspective. I have experience in civil and criminal defense, and I have also represented plaintiffs and worked in a prosecutor's office. I have drawn on all of those perspectives at some point in my practice.
What do you find most exciting about your work?

Problem solving is what excites me most about my day to day work. Analyzing a client's problem, sorting through the issues and finding a solution is one of the main things I love about my job.
