About Katherine
Q&A
  • What previous experiences, prior to your work at Balch, influence your practice?

While at Emory Law, I served as a judicial extern for the Georgia Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Those experiences helped hone my research and advocacy skills and provided unique insights into the world on the other side of the bench and what makes an effective advocate. Additionally, prior to law school, I worked for an Atlanta nonprofit organization where I found a passion for nonprofit and volunteer work that I look forward to developing in my legal career through pro bono opportunities at Balch and in the broader legal community.

  • What do you find most exciting about your work?

The most exciting part of my job is that no case, or day, is the same, and rarely is there a "one size fits all" solution to a problem. There are always new factual scenarios and legal issues to work through to develop a strategy to achieve the client's unique goals, and I enjoy the challenge of putting the pieces together to best serve those needs.
