About Ames
Q&A
  • What types of matters do you work on most often?

I work on both labor and employment and general litigation matters in state and federal court. My work on labor and employment matters includes defending employers against claims involving employment laws such as Title VII, ADEA, and FMLA.

  • What previous experiences, prior to your work at Balch, influence your practice?

Before joining Balch, I clerked for the Honorable Kelly F. Pate, Magistrate Judge in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama. My experience as a law clerk offered me extensive experience and a valuable perspective as to how judges decide their cases. This information afforded me the skills required to effectively advocate for clients.
