What previous experiences, prior to your work at Balch, influence your practice?

My prior experience as a counterintelligence agent with the National Security Agency allowed me to hone unique skills in effective communication, attention to detail, and strategy. My transition into the legal profession was an ideal dovetail to my career as an agent. As a lawyer, I am able to employ those same skills to benefit my clients in every facet of my representation.
What do you find most exciting about your work?

The most exciting thing about my practice is working to resolve issues of statutory interpretation. In the world of environmental and toxic torts, this occurs often and can provide opportunity to shape the body of law.
How are you involved in your community?

I sincerely believe that it is important to give back to your community as a lawyer. In that vein, I dedicate time to inner city schools and rising law students by sharing my experiences and offering guidance so that the next generation of lawyers and professionals are inspired to be the best at whatever profession they choose.
