About Christy
Q&A
  • What previous experiences, prior to your work at Balch, influence your practice?

Before attending law school, I was an investment banker in New York.  In this role, I assisted in the origination of over $3 billion in senior managed corporate and municipal debt issuances, developed complex models to analyze various financing constraints and scenarios, and conducted extensive due diligence while analyzing prevailing market conditions to mitigate risks, among other capacities.  These experiences in investment banking have given me valuable insight into the deal process and the ability to anticipate needs and concerns of my corporate clients.

  • What legal challenges are you looking forward to tackling in the future?

There is currently a lot of uncertainty in the cryptocurrency space as rules and regulations for crypto activities and investments continue to develop.  It is an exciting time – both from a financial perspective and a legal perspective – watching the cryptocurrency space evolve and anticipating the legal challenges that come with the development of digital currency.
