Jeff Sharkey draws on his extensive experience in nuclear regulatory policy and regulatory matters to advise clients on regulatory strategy implementation. He utilizes his more than 28 years of experience working at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), including 16 years as Executive Policy Advisor to the Commissioners, to offer guidance to clients navigating complex regulatory environments, providing strategic insights tailored to their specific needs and challenges.
Most recently, Jeff joined Balch from Southern Nuclear, where he was the Nuclear Regulatory Affairs Director. Prior to Southern Nuclear, he served in a similar role at the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) as a member of the Watts Bar 2 initial licensing team. At both Southern Nuclear and the TVA, Jeff served as a liaison between corporate nuclear and the federal affairs organizations on pending regulatory matters.
