- Filter By Electric Reliability Law Blog
On December 23, 2021, in Docket No. RR21-5-000, NERC submitted an Informational Filing in Response to the Commission's Order dated December 2, 2021. The Order directed NERC to explain expenditures and amounts from the Cyber Risk Information Sharing Program (CRISP) used to fund the CRISP Operational Technology (OT) pilot programs, including how NERC plans to spend any unspent funds in 2022. The Order also concluded that NERC should have sought FERC approval to transfer $1 million of unused funding for the CRISP OT pilot programs to a CRISP Special Projects Reserve, rather than crediting the unused funds to CRISP participants against their future funding requirements. In this informational filing, NERC provides the information specified in FERC’s Order and respectfully disagrees with FERC’s conclusion regarding approval for use of the unspent funds.
