Samarria Dunson Presented at The Montgomery County Bar Association’s Bench & Bar Conference on the Alabama Data Breach Notification Statute

Samarria Dunson, of counsel and member of Balch’s Health Law Practice, presented at The Bench & Bar Conference in Montgomery, AL on December 6, 2019. During her presentation, Samarria educated attorneys on the Alabama Data Breach Notification Statute. She discussed how this law directly impacts their legal practices, as well as individuals and entities doing business in the state of Alabama. She also examined similar statutes around the country and the parallels that exist between state breach notification statutes and HIPAA regulations.
