Leo Manuel, partner in the Gulfport office and member of Balch’s Energy Practice, has been named to the Biloxi Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for 2020. The organization strives to improve Mississippi’s business environment through leadership, community involvement and support of local businesses. The Board of Directors will oversee the implementation of policies, projects, programs and services which foster the development of the gulf coast’s human, economic and natural resources.
Leo has over a decade of experience representing corporate entities including electric, water, and sewer public utilities across the Southeast, as well as small and mid-sized companies in industries such as seafood processing, gaming, construction, and maritime. Active in the Mississippi community, Leo has been a longtime member of the Gulfport Business Club, Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce, Coast Young Professionals, Biloxi Yacht Club, and Gulf Coast Carnival Association. He also serves on the board of directors for the Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum, providing pro bono services to the Museum during and after its infrastructure rebuild following Hurricane Katrina.
