Our Commitment

A message from our managing partner. 

The Balch family continues to share a deep sense of outrage, anguish and grief over the senseless deaths of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Rayshard Brooks and countless others. Racism, in any form, is intolerable. We condemn injustice, oppression and brutality because of the color of an individual’s skin. Recent tragedies have emphasized the unacceptable racial inequalities that remain in our society. 

We believe the first thing we can do is listen and learn, with open minds. In 2019, we hosted programs to educate our team on how the tragic effects of racism and inequality in our society affect our efforts to achieve greater diversity and inclusion. We are committed to continuing and expanding these efforts. We also will continue our efforts to make our firm welcoming to everyone and to ensure that everyone in the firm has an opportunity to succeed. There is much more to be done to achieve greater diversity within the Balch family and to support equality and eliminate racial injustice within the communities in which we live and serve.

Over the coming weeks, we look forward to working together to take meaningful action and to effect lasting change in our firm, our communities and throughout this country.
