Adam Israel, partner in the firm’s Birmingham office and member of the Litigation Practice, was appointed to serve as a co-chair of the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Litigation Business Torts & Unfair Competition Committee. Adam’s term will begin in September 2020.
The Business Torts & Unfair Competition Committee keeps business litigators informed of emerging trends and issues in the areas of fiduciary duties, fraud, restrictive covenants, unfair trade practices, tortious interference, trademarks and trade secrets, remedies, and evidence, as well as technological issues and developments impacting the practice.
A substantial portion of Adam’s practice is focused on complex business litigation, primarily in the areas of business torts and unfair competition and banking and financial services Adam represents businesses and individuals in non-compete, non-solicitation, and theft of trade secrets cases in trial and appellate courts. Adam is also regularly involved in complex litigation on behalf of highly-regulated businesses.
