Balch & Bingham Serves as Co-Sponsor for Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project’s Summer Clinic Series

Balch & Bingham will partner with the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project (MVLP) to sponsor their Summer Clinic Series, a free and virtual program designed to connect individuals in need with volunteer lawyers to provide pro bono legal services.

The Summer Clinic Series will help those seeking guidance surrounding uncontested (no fault) divorce, uncontested guardianships, simple wills, advance healthcare directives (AHD), powers of attorney (POA), and felony and misdemeanor expungement matters.  The legal clinics are pro se clinics, and therefore, participants who receive legal advice and the completed pleadings are empowered to handle their legal matters in court on their own.

The virtual clinics will take place on July 10 and August 14 at noon. Interested participants must complete an intake form at http://www.mvlp.org/clinics. For more information on MVLP and the Summer Clinic Series, please contact MVLP at 601-882-5001 or visit www.mvlp.org.

Balch & Bingham is proud to serve as a dedicated partner to the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project.   Balch’s Walter Boone, partner in the firm’s Jackson office and member of the Litigation Practice, recently completed a term on the Board of Directors of the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project.
