Steven Burns, partner in the firm’s Birmingham office and member of the Environmental & Natural Resources Practice, presented at the Air Waste Management Association (A&WMA) 2020 Joint Florida Section, Coastal Plains and Alabama Chapters Virtual Technical Conference on October 27, 2020.
Steven shared an update on environmental policy for 2021 and forecasted what is to come in light of the presidential election. He spoke to the transition process, the Congressional Review Act, and possible environmental priorities under a Biden Administration.
Steven has previously served as the chapter chair of the Alabama Air & Waste Management Association, an arm of the national professional development organization comprised of more than 5,000 environmental professionals across the country. The Alabama Chapter of A&WMA provides members with environmental leadership, region-specific programming, and networking opportunities on a state level.
Steven advises clients on coal ash, waste and contamination, waterways, wildlife management, air and water quality, and natural resources. He is the lead contributor of @CCR_Source, a resource on Twitter for coal combustion residuals and coal ash news.
