Adam Israel, partner in the firm’s Birmingham office and member of the Litigation Practice, has been appointed to a six-year term as a Rotating Member of the Alabama Law Institute (ALI).
Members of the Alabama Law Institute are selected for their skill and demonstrated ability to craft legislation regarding highly complex legal issues. Fewer than 1% of lawyers in the state of Alabama currently hold an ALI term membership. Adam’s election follows his prior service on multiple Alabama Law Institute Committees.
For more than 50 years, the ALI has been a trusted and respected organization for non-partisan legislative drafting in Alabama. The primary purpose of the ALI is to clarify and simplify the laws of Alabama, revise laws that are out-of-date, and fill in gaps in the law where there exists legal confusion.
A substantial portion of Adam’s practice is focused on complex litigation, including business torts and unfair competition litigation, banking and financial services litigation, and energy litigation.
