David Duhè and Christina Nuñez Join LCLD Fellows and Pathfinder Programs
David Duhè, partner in the Gulfport office and a member of the Corporate & Commercial Practice, and Christina Nuñez attorney in the Jackson office and member of the Corporate & Commercial Practice will join the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) training programs, aimed to advance the next generation of leaders.
David joins the Fellows Program, designed for diverse mid-career attorneys who have demonstrated promise of high-potential in the legal sector. Founded in 2011, the Fellows Program connects high-potential, diverse attorneys from LCLD Member organizations for a year-long professional development program focused on leadership and relationship building. The program provides participants with the opportunity to learn from top leaders in the legal profession, as well as experts in the fields of learning and development and executive coaching.
Christina joins the Pathfinder Program, an initiative designed for diverse, high-potential, early-career attorneys at LCLD Member organizations. The goal of this program is to provide pathfinders with practical tools for developing and leveraging internal professional networks through relationship-building skills, foundational leadership skills and an understanding of career development strategies applicable to both in-house and law firm practice.
Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization of more than 400 corporate general counsel and law firm managing partners—the leadership of the profession—who are committed to promoting a more open and diverse legal profession. The organization’s action programs are designed to attract, inspire and nurture the talent in society and within law firms across the country, thereby helping a new and more diverse generation of attorneys ascend to positions of leadership. By producing tangible results, LCLD works to promote inclusiveness within law firms.
David focuses on and regularly serves as counsel to sophisticated parties engaged in complex commercial arrangements in the areas of economic development, real estate, energy, and corporate transactions involving long-term contractual obligations, mergers and acquisitions, purchasing, leasing, construction, public laws, and incentives and compliance for both public and private clients. David has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America as Lawyer of the Year in corporate law. He currently serves as one of five appointed commissioners to the City of Gulfport's Redevelopment Commission, the urban renewal agency of Gulfport, Mississippi. David also serves on the firm’s DE&I Council.
Christina’s practice focuses mainly on business and healthcare transactions. Christina advises clients through a wide range of complex transactional matters from contract proposals to compliance inquiries. She uses her experience to provide clear, comprehensive solutions for each client’s unique needs. Christina worked as a judicial extern for The Honorable David Neil McCarty, Mississippi Court of Appeals in Jackson.
In 2022, Tashwanda Pinchback Dixon, partner in the Atlanta office and a member of the Labor & Employment Practice, and Irving Jones, partner in the Birmingham office and member of the Litigation Practice, completed the LCLD Fellows and Pathfinders programs.
