Balch was honored to take part in the Southern Region of the Black Law Students Association’s (SRBLSA) 53rd Regional Convention and Career Fair in Raleigh, North Carolina from in February. Jadyn Taylor, attorney in the Atlanta office, member of the firm’s Litigation Practice and SRBLSA alumna, represented the firm, and for the third consecutive year, Balch proudly served as title sponsor of the Social Action Luncheon.
The convention, hosted annually by SRBLSA, aims to establish a lasting legacy through leadership by addressing the educational needs and aspirations of minority law students. This year's convention theme, "The Southern Renaissance: A New Age of Culturally Conscious Lawyering," underscored the commitment to evolving legal practice with cultural awareness.
Jadyn joined SRBLSA as a law student in 2020 and formerly served as the Parliamentarian and Social Chair for the Emory University School of Law’s chapter of BLSA.
In her role at Balch, Jadyn focuses her practice on civil litigation, advising and representing clients in matters involving complex commercial litigation, property disputes, personal injury and wrongful death, and intellectual property. She earned her J.D. from Emory University School of Law, where she was honored with the Class of 2007 Distinguished Service Award in recognition of her significant impact on the Emory community during her tenure as a student.
The SRBLSA is a regional affiliate of the National Black Law Students Association (NBLSA), a student-run, national organization formed to articulate and promote the needs and goals of Black law students. Its mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible black and minority attorneys who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community.
