Christy Boardman Kuklinski, attorney in the firm’s Birmingham office and member of Balch’s Corporate & Commercial and Banking & Financial Services Practices, has been selected to take part in the 2024-2025 Alabama Leadership Initiative (ALI) Class VII. Through this program, she will collaborate with emerging leaders from across the state to build a shared understanding of Alabama’s challenges and priorities and work together to develop meaningful solutions.
This six-month program was created in 1995 by Leadership Alabama to complement the organization's existing leadership programs. The initiative is tailored to young professionals and provides them with the opportunity to interact with decision-makers in Alabama. The program aims to instill a sense of personal responsibility to help Alabama conquer the challenges it faces as a state and shape its future.
Balch & Bingham has been a longtime supporter of Leadership Alabama and its sister program, ALI, having had numerous professionals participate in one of the programs, including COO David Miceli, Birmingham Partner Greg Butrus, Montgomery Office Managing Partner Riley Roby, Birmingham Partner Alan Rogers, Birmingham Of Counsel D. Paul Jones, Jr., Birmingham Partner Jeremy Retherford, and Birmingham Attorney Robert Humphrey. Additionally, Firm Managing Partner Stan Blanton serves on the Birmingham Regional Council of Leadership Alabama.
Christy's practice focuses on securities and corporate work. She has spent the last decade developing an understanding for corporate and financial matters, both from the litigation standpoint and from the deal and advisory standpoint. Due to Christy’s breadth of experience working with highly-regulated institutions, clients seek her assistance in all phases of their businesses, from transactions to regulatory compliance to securities and other complex litigation.
Christy currently serves on the Alabama Securities Commission and is a recent graduate of Momentum Upward, an Alabama women’s leadership development program. She has been recognized by the Birmingham Business Journal on the “NextGen Law” 2024 list and in The Best Lawyers in America® Ones to Watch.
