Christina Nuñez Wins Inaugural Pathfinder Atlas Award
Christina Nuñez, attorney in the Jackson office and member of the Corporate & Commercial Practice, was awarded the inaugural Pathfinder Atlas Award at the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Pathfinder Fall Meeting on October 11-13, in Washington, DC. New this year, the Atlas Award is designed to recognize Pathfinders who have the highest levels of engagement throughout the program.
Christina was chosen to take part in the selective seven-month long program at the start of 2023. The Pathfinder program launched in 2015 with the purpose of supporting high-potential, diverse attorneys early in their careers. The initiative aims to provide participants with the necessary networking opportunities and leadership skills needed to build professional relationships and advance their career goals.
“It was such an enriching and rewarding experience to be part of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Pathfinder Program,” Christina said. “I thank Balch for this opportunity and for recognizing the importance of DEI. I am inspired by every lawyer I had the privilege of connecting with and grateful to have been one of the recipients of the inaugural Atlas Award.”
Founded in 2009, LCLD is a growing organization of more than 400 corporate general counsel and law firm managing partners who are committed to promoting a more open and diverse legal profession.
Christina’s practice focuses mainly on business and healthcare transactions. Christina advises clients through a wide range of complex transactional matters from contract proposals to compliance inquiries. She uses her experience to provide clear, comprehensive solutions for each client’s unique needs. Christina worked as a judicial extern for The Honorable David Neil McCarty, Mississippi Court of Appeals in Jackson. She is a member of the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) and was chosen for the HNBA Latina Commission Leadership Academy.
