Katie Kimbrell Named to Executive Committee of Birmingham Bar Association

Katie Kimbrell, partner in the firm’s Birmingham office and member of the Corporate & Commercial Practice, was elected to serve on the Executive Committee of the Birmingham Bar Association for the 2025 term.  

The Birmingham Bar Association is governed by its Executive Committee, leading the Association’s mission to maintain the honor and dignity of the profession, to promote the administration of justice, to exercise a constructive influence among members of the profession and the life of the community, to promote needed legal reform, to cultivate a spirit of collegiality and goodwill among its members, and to further their continuing legal education.

Katie’s diverse practice focuses on corporate, securities, and financial services. She counsels clients in all phases of business, including formation, due diligence, regulatory compliance, securities, and, litigation. She regularly advises clients in a wide variety of complex transactions and in all aspects of mergers and acquisitions for public and private companies, as well as energy and public utility clients. Additionally, Katie has extensive experience providing counsel on compliance and regulatory issues in highly-regulated industries and self-regulatory organizations (SROs).

Katie is an active member of the community and firm. She serves as the firm’s Women’s Initiative Chair, and previously chaired the Business Section for the Birmingham Bar Association. She has won numerous awards and honors including being named to the Birmingham Business Journal’s 2023 Top NextGenBHM: Law Section list, recognizing lawyers under 40 years old who are the future of the legal profession in Birmingham.
